The entry into force of TR EAEU 048-2019 has been postponed


Decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission dated April 15, 2022 No. 50 “On Amendments to the Decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission dated August 8, 2019 No. 114” the effective date of the technical regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union “On requirements for the energy efficiency of energy-consuming devices” (TR EAEU 048/2019) was postponed to September 1, 2025 (hereinafter referred to as the decision, the EEC Council, technical regulations).

 

          By the same decision of the EEC Council, March 1, 2025, the entry into force of the decision of the EEC Council establishing the forms of labels for energy-consuming devices of various types and the rules for their design was postponed, the entry into force of certain requirements established in Annexes No. 3 was postponed for three years, 5, 6, 9, 12, 13, 14 to the specified technical regulation.

 

          We also pay attention to the following.

 

          The legislation of the Republic of Belarus in the field of conformity assessment with technical requirements and accreditation of conformity assessment bodies establishes that when assessing the conformity of products for which the technical regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union has not entered into force, legislative acts of the Republic of Belarus are applied.

 

          Currently, energy-consuming devices are included in the list of objects of mandatory conformity assessment of the National System of Conformity Assessment of the Republic of Belarus, approved by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated October 16, 2016 No. 849, and are subject to mandatory certification for compliance with energy efficiency requirements.

 

          This Decree of the Government of the Republic of Belarus establishes specific types of energy-consuming devices that are subject to certification, and the energy efficiency requirements that they must comply with.
