Entry into force of the EAEU TR on energy efficiency TR EAEU 048/2019 postponed by 3 years (to 01.09.2028).

Entry into force of the EAEU technical regulation on energy efficiency of energy using devices TR EAEU 048/2019 has been postponed by 3 years (to 01.09.2028). Belarus National mandatory energy efficiency requirements remain valid.

The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission, at the suggestion of the Russian Federation, on 08.07.2025 postponed the entry into force of the technical regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union "On requirements for the energy efficiency of energy-consuming devices" from September 1^st , 2025 to September 1^st , 2028.  (Decision of the EEC Council No.: 54 dated 08.07.2025)

This will allow updating a number of the document's requirements within the framework of amendments that are being prepared in accordance with the plan for developing technical regulations of the EAEU and amending them, and completing the development and adoption of the second-level acts necessary for the implementation of the technical regulation - a list of standards and labels for the energy efficiency of energy-consuming devices.

The same decision of the EEC Council postponed the entry into force of the decision of the Commission Council establishing the forms of labels for energy-consuming devices of various types and the rules for their design, to March 1, 2028. The entry into force of certain requirements established in a number of appendices to the technical regulation has also been postponed by three years.

In the Republic of Belarus, mandatory requirements to the energy efficiency of energy-using devices remain valid - Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated September 26, 2024 No. 708.
