Round table on standardization


         The round table on the issues of standardization of engineering products, agricultural machinery and electrical products was held on July 20, 2023 on the basis of ATLANT CJSC.

         More than 50 enterprises of the Ministry of Industry, organizations of the State Standard and Business took part in the round table (in person and in absentia).

         The speakers of the round table were representatives of the State Standard, BelGISS, BELLIS Testing and Certification of Household and Industrial Products, BelAPP, ATLANT CJSC.

         The round table covered methodological issues of standardization (digitalization in standardization, work of technical committees, resources of the National Fund of TNLA, changes to the Rules for the development of technical conditions and verification of the scientific and technical level of technical conditions), as well as the state of affairs and prospects for harmonization of state standards of the Republic of Belarus , establishing requirements for the safety and electromagnetic compatibility of household and similar electrical appliances, with international and European standards.

         In his report, Alexander G. Rakovsky, Deputy Director of OJSC "Testing and Certification of Household and Industrial Products" BELLIS ", highlighted the following issues:

         - the need and relevance of checking the scientific and technical level of standards, their timely updating;

         - stimulating the involvement of industry organizations in standardization work;

         - inclusion of sections on the development of standards in all state scientific and technical programs;

         - creation of a list of standards planned for development in Belarus and the CIS countries;

         - promising areas for the development of standardization (energy efficiency, electric transport, electric heaters installed permanently, etc.).

         Particular attention was paid by the participants of the event to the need to renew the mandatory effect of energy efficiency requirements for certain types of devices within the framework of the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated October 21, 2016 No. 849 (suspended from 01.01.2023 in part 3 (list of objects of mandatory confirmation compliance with the National System of Conformity Assessment of the Republic of Belarus)).
