International Energy Saving Day

From November 8 to 11, 2023, the Department for Energy Efficiency is holding the republican information and educational campaign "Belarus is an energy-efficient country" under the motto "Turn on energy efficiency!"

The action is carried out in order to implement the provisions of the Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated 14.06.2007 No. 3 "On priority areas for strengthening the economic security of the state", the Law of the Republic of Belarus dated 08.01.2015 No. 239-Z "On energy conservation".

The purpose of the campaign is to raise public awareness of the importance of efficient use of energy resources, possible ways and methods of saving them, including in everyday life, which is a significant measure in improving the well–being of citizens and the economic growth of the country as a whole.

1. developed state standards and amendments to them in the field of energy efficiency:

2) actively participates in ensuring energy efficiency requirements and conducts voluntary conformity assessment of energy-consuming devices in accordance with the scope of accreditation (https://www.bellis.by/energy-efficiency/requirements-in-the-field-of-energy-efficiency-of-belarus /).

3) supervises the market for the purpose of selective control of energy efficiency indicators of energy-consuming devices. Information on the results of supervision is brought to the attention of the Ministry of Industry and Gosstandart.
