World Quality Day

Dear colleagues!

November 12 is World Quality Day.

The goal of World Quality Day is to draw attention to quality issues, this is the level of consumer satisfaction, physical health, psychological comfort of people, the preservation of the environment.

Standards play an important role in the international trade development and in ensuring that products and services meet criteria of safety, efficiency and sustainability accepted in global level.

That is why International Standardization was firstly included in the agenda of the G20 summit of the 2020 organized by the national standardization body of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The summit was attended by videoconferencing leaders of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the national standardization bodies of the G20 countries.

The summit focused on the role of standards in global trade and social-economic development, as well as the exchange of experiences on the application of standards in response to global challenges. The event resulted in the adoption of a joint statement, which will also be presented to the G20 leaders at a meeting in November 2020.

Our work is aimed at producing quality, competitive, safe national products and services, promoting the expansion of exports, admission of good quality, dangerous products to consumers. Continuous scientific and technological progress changes the world, changes relations, changes us. One of the means of this gradual movement is product quality assurance.

All our achievements and well-being are the result of our fruitful work and continuous development. By ensuring the quality of our products, we establish new levels of quality of life and personal aspirations, the achievement of which changes the world for the better.
